Steven Brown is a Contemporary Christian/Gospel/Praise and Worship singer, writer and guitarist. Born in humble circumstances in Grand Prairie, Texas; and grew up in Arkansas and Texas. At the age of 13 he realized he needed Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord in order to cope with life's harsh realities. So, he gave his life to God, and was saved in May of 1976, in a church retreat near Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Soon thereafter, Steven discovered he had a talent (and a passion) for singing. He joined the church Youth Choir as a Tenor and enjoyed singing in musicals, cantatas, specials, etc. Eventually, he was chosen as the youngest member of an eight voice chorale named "SALT", which traveled around Northeast Arkansas, Southeast Missouri, as well as parts of Tennessee and Mississippi, from 1977 to 1980

Steven had such a driving love for music, he began learning the acoustic guitar during his Freshman year in High School and practiced for hours each day till he was able to play for friends and family with confidence. He tried his hand at songwriting at fifteen, when he wrote his first Contemporary Christian Ballad; "Believe" in November of 1977.

After High School graduation in 1980, Steven went into the Navy, and pursued a career in Electronics Maintenance, Computer Operation/Programming, Communications and Naval Intelligence; all the while continuing to sing, write and play for anyone who would listen, wherever he was sent. During his 13 years of service with the Navy, Steven circumnavigated the globe, visited 27 different countries and went from coast to coast in the United States.

In 1993 he retired from active duty, and took a position as the Youth and Music Leader of a small church in Clever, Missouri. But, after a year, he felt God leading him into more dynamic extensive ministry, which led Steve to Branson, MO. in hopes of "breaking into the music industry". God had other plans.

In 1998, Steven started forming a band aptly named "True Witness", which was fairly successful in the region, despite the ever-changing face of the group. They recorded their first project "Believe" by the end of 1998 and would eventually distribute over 1000 CDs and cassettes to people in 44 states in America, and 21 countries around the world. But, as with most things in life, the ministry of "True Witness" came to an end, as we know it.

In the spring of 2002, he finished his second independent recording project, "Livin' In The Light" which is now available for anyone who asks through this web site (click on the "Order Form" button below). This CD is a compilation of 10 new songs, never before released, and 10 others from the first album (including 2 remixes). For a preview of these songs, click on the "Music" button below.

In September of 2004, he joined the Southern Gospel Quartet, "The King's Travelers" and was with them for about two and a half years, until he was offered a role in the musical drama "The Promise" in Branson, Missouri.
