Jesus Came to Free Us

1^st Verse:

So many people just trying to survive,

while others try to make their dreams come true.

But those like me, we sometimes wonder why we’re alive

And why we live the way we do.

But I have good news for the people in despair;

Jesus came to give you life, abundantly.

He died for us so we might live in peace, joy and love

And to set the prisoner free.

Chorus:

Jesus came to free us from our bondage to sin,

So we can claim the victory – for the battle within.

He raised the dead and He calmed the sea,

He broke the chains of prison for me, and I know He’ll do the same for you.

He heals the sick and He heals the lame, and I’m going to praise His name

For what He’s done and what He’s going to do.

2^nd Verse:

So why are people still going their own way,

when Jesus offers life and so much more?

And all you have to do is just put your faith in Him

Then your life won’t be the same as before.

Well, I know you might think this is not reality;

It’s just too simple to be true.

But He sometimes uses simple things to confound the wise

And whatever He says He will do.
